Highlights
The OnePlus 11 is a proper flagship smartphone with a high price so, we’ll evaluate this gadget based on it. It may not cost as the top-level premium phones, but it’s not cheap either. So, the question is whether it is worth it to pay this amount of money for it and what kind of value we are getting. It was released back in January 2023. OnePlus will deliver Android updates for four years (expected: Android 17) and security updates till January 2028. A regular user would use a smartphone between two to four years. So, even in the year 2025, it would be okay to buy this device. The design has a professional OnePlus look with a large camera area on the back, which some reviewers have called a “helipad” (where helicopters land) design. It’s a robust mobile with the latest standard Gorilla Glasses on both sides with a metal frame and IP64 water resistance rating. It has a decent hand grip and is comfortable for one hand operation. We are getting a curved screen with glossy finish (attracts fingerprints) for the green color and the black one is shipped with a matt finish (does not attract fingerprints).
The 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO3 Fluid AMOLED screen carries the type of class you’d expect from an OnePlus phone in this range. It competes with any top-grade screen out there. The brightness-level is in order but could be higher. 120Hz refresh rate is there, but it may not feel that smooth. This is because the OxygenOS isn’t that lightweight as it used to be and this is a strong drawback of the OnePlus 11. For this cost, we expect blazing fast fluency in UI and OnePlus couldn’t deliver it this time. Photo shots with the 64 MP primary camera look excellent. Sharpness, details, shadow detail are spot on. Punchy, well-merged colors, great dynamic range, white balance look eye-pleasing. There are a few Hasselblad filters as an added feature. The night mode captures plenty of lights and details. The 2x optical zoom portraits look stunningly impressive. But the 32 MP telephoto lens is somewhat average for a flagship. The 48 MP ultrawide lens is usable but also not the best. There is up to 8K recording option but you’ll get better stability with 4K recording. There is only Full HD recording for the 16 MP selfie taker and the quality is also not that great for this budget.
Charging time is less than half an hour and you can expect six and half hours plus screen-on-time with the QHD+ resolution on. Performance is steady with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. You may feel a bit of a heating issue at the back for a long time gaming. But if you pause for a moment, it cools down pretty fast as well. Its sound quality is admirable. Overall, this is a complete package from OnePlus for long-term utilization. But if you put strong priority in a high-grade selfie camera and a faster user interface experience, you can skip it.
