Highlights
Infinix Hot 40i is the lowest budget smartphone in the Hot 40 series. So, it is normal that there are some downgraded features here. But on the bright side, there are a few significant updates compared to the previous Hot 30i. You are also getting a few premium features from Hot 40 and the Pro model. Let’s start with the design. It is very identical to the other two devices in this series. It comes with the same colors as well. We have the fine magic ring notification panel in the punch-hole area, too. The design is definitely one of its biggest advantages.
The screen is a smaller 6.56-inch HD+ one. It has a lower 480 nits peak brightness. However, the Dark Region Enhancement (DRE) technology is present here as well for better visibility under sunlight. We are glad to see the 90Hz refresh rate option as well. Its 50 MP rear camera has the Super Night Mode and quad-LED flash, but the video recording quality is reduced to 1080p@30fps. A huge positive side is that it has a 32 MP selfie camera like the other ones in this series. It’s a massive boost at this price range for any selfie lover.
A 5000 mAh battery is included and the charging capacity is 18W. Its Unisoc T606 chipset ensures stable basic gaming performance. The 4 GB RAM variant offers an added 4 GB virtual RAM and the 8 GB model has +8 GB virtual RAM. The XBOOST Gaming Engine is offered in this model as well. Although Unisoc T606 isn’t really a gaming chipset, with all these added features, you’ll be able to make the best out of what you are paying. The phone comes with 200% super volume, dedicated MicroSD slot, Android 13 and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
